Every part of a steel package, from the shop drawings to the final inspection, done by our own people.
Our two shops fabricate structural steel for buildings and bridges. Both are AISC certified as bridge fabricators with the Fracture Control Endorsement, the standard for the most demanding members on a bridge, and as building fabricators.
We also fabricate replicas of historically significant steelwork, matched to the original.
Atlantic began in 1996 as a union steel erector, and erection is still the core of what we do. Our crews set steel over interstates kept open to traffic, over active rail lines and from barges and trestles on the water.
Decades of field work let us find the most efficient path to completion and keep the job on schedule.
Guardrail, handrail, stairs, canopies, ornamental iron, embedded plates and architectural steel. The same shops and crews that handle the structure handle the miscellaneous metals, so nothing falls between two subcontracts.
From an aging bridge girder to a sudden steel failure, we put emergency repairs at the front of the line and keep downtime short, without lowering the quality standard we hold new work to.
In-house detailers produce shop and erection drawings in Tekla, working with our project managers and shop fabricators. Licensed Professional Engineers on staff support connection design and erection engineering.
Quality control is run by AWS Certified Welding Inspectors, in the shops and in the field. A dedicated Health and Safety department provides oversight, code enforcement and training for every employee, and treats the safety of everyone on site as the first priority.
