The job
Atlantic Bridge & Engineering is a steel fabricator and union erector based in Hampton, NH, working with general contractors throughout New England and New York. We're looking for a motivated, organized self-starter to join the estimating team: someone with a high attention to detail who can handle a high volume of work. You'll evaluate the cost of the steel fabrication and erection projects we decide to bid, drawing on a working knowledge of both processes and of our competitive advantages.
- Keeping up with the industry to sharpen our bids
- Resolving cost and production discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Estimating the cost of steel projects from start to finish
- Preparing bid proposals
The role varies with experience. Open positions include Assistant Estimator, Junior Estimator, Estimator, Lead Estimator and Senior Estimator.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of industry or education experience
- Familiarity with construction drawings and the ability to read plans
- Bridge steel fabrication experience is a plus
Pay and benefits
$75,000 to $120,000 a year, based on qualifications and experience. Salaried, 50 hours a week at our Hampton, NH office. Vacation, holidays, 401(k), FSA, and health, dental, life and disability insurance. Phone and video interviews are scheduled after review.
